Job Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Fluids Engineer to support an offshore deepwater drilling campaign in Africa. This opportunity is suited to professionals with proven deepwater drilling fluids experience who can confidently manage both water-based and oil-based mud systems while maintaining safe and efficient drilling operations.
Role Purpose
As a Fluids Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and optimising drilling fluid systems throughout offshore operations. Working as part of the drilling team, you will ensure fluid performance supports safe, compliant and efficient well delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage drilling fluid systems during offshore deepwater operations.
Monitor and maintain Water-Based Mud (WBM) and Oil-Based Mud (OBM) systems.
Ensure drilling fluids meet operational and programme requirements.
Monitor fluid properties and recommend adjustments where required.
Support safe, efficient and compliant drilling operations.
Work closely with offshore drilling personnel to optimise performance.
Complete accurate operational reporting and documentation.
Technical Project Context
Offshore deepwater drilling campaign.
Day shift operations.
Working with WBM and OBM drilling fluid systems.
Supporting high-performance offshore drilling operations

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Fluids Engineer.
Proven offshore deepwater drilling experience.
Strong knowledge of WBM and OBM systems.
Experience supporting offshore drilling operations.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience on international deepwater drilling campaigns.
Experience working with major global service companies.
Certifications
All offshore certifications must be valid and in date.
Valid offshore medical.
