Job Overview
Performance Energy is recruiting an experienced Fibre Optic Completions Supervisor to support advanced well completion projects in Oceania. This role is ideal for professionals with proven experience supervising fibre optic completion operations, fusion splicing and intelligent well systems in demanding oil & gas environments.
Role Purpose
As a Fibre Optic Completions Supervisor, you will lead the safe installation, testing and execution of fibre optic completion systems. Working closely with field teams and client representatives, you will oversee technical delivery while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise offshore and onshore fibre optic completion operations.
Lead the installation, termination and testing of fibre optic completion systems.
Perform and oversee fibre optic fusion splicing.
Ensure all operations comply with HSE procedures and client requirements.
Coordinate with Completion Engineers, Wellsite Supervisors and field personnel.
Verify equipment readiness before mobilisation.
Troubleshoot fibre optic and completion system issues during installation.
Complete operational reports and technical documentation.
Mentor field personnel and promote best practice throughout operations.
Support mobilisation, rig-up, execution and demobilisation activities.
Technical Project Context
Fibre optic well completion operations.
Intelligent well completion systems.
Downhole monitoring technologies including DTS, DAS and distributed sensing systems.
Offshore and onshore oil & gas environments.
International travel may be required

Proven experience supervising fibre optic completion operations.
Extensive fibre optic fusion splicing experience.
Strong knowledge of intelligent well completion systems.
Experience with DTS, DAS or distributed sensing technologies.
Well completion and intervention operational experience.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and completion schematics.
Offshore and/or land rig experience.
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Fluent English.
Preferred Experience
Fibre optic splicing certification.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
IWCF or IADC Well Control certification.
Experience supporting international oil & gas projects.
Certifications
Valid offshore survival certification (BOSIET/FOET) where applicable.
Valid offshore medical.
Valid passport with willingness to travel internationally.
